I have a client, an avid fisherman, who caught a shark last summer. Wanting to "mark the occasion" with a memento, I was asked to design and create these custom necklaces for him and his children. All necklaces come complete with the initials of each family member, the date of the capture and the actual sharks tooth. The tooth is attached with a bail, creating movement in the piece, instead of the traditional method of wire wrapping. I Hope you enjoy these as much as I do.

I just did the first test run in my new kiln and made some bronze metal clay dog tags. The tags have just been removed from the kiln, can't wait to clean them up and put them in the LPDstudios shop.

I started working on some samples using copper metal clay. This product starts out as a clay, then gets heated in a kiln at a very high temperature. Once the binder burns away, you are left with actual metal. I know crazy.
