LPDstudios Blog: Style - Bronze Studs and Cognac Leather - LPDstudios was created by designer artist Lisa Parmer Ditty. All of her designs are handcrafted in her Pennsylvania studio. She has merged her love of leather, metal and metal clay to create a unique collection of custom leather handbags, metal and leather jewelry and even pet collars. Gotta love a plaid flannel and simple cardigan outfit for Fall outings! It's a tried and true combo and I just love the colorful plaid seen in today's inspiration photo. This pic makes me want to grab a hot cup of coffee and spend the afternoon watching the Fall foliage tumble to the ground.

To pair back to the easy, classic look of this outfit, I chose the LPDstudios Distressed Cognac Leather Bag with Bird Motif for the rich color of the leather. It works beautifully with the navy cardigan and the marled look of the leather is reminiscent of peak Fall leaves. And the LPDstudios Brushed Bronze Square Stud Earrings would look great with just about any outfit, but looks especially right with this Fall look.  The simple silhouette and light, bright finish is a nice accent to the rich cognac leather handbag.

  • LPDstudios Blog: Style - Ranger Green Leather Purse with Hand Cut Armadillos

The weather this time of year in the northeast is so beautiful. The sun is still shining and warm, but the air is crisp and cool. A few good layers is all you need for the Fall season, just like the ones found on today's style board!

I love this sweater and scarf combo, because they are the perfect cozy, neutral layers that can be worn with just about anything. To accessorize the look with a little color, I chose my Ranger Green Leather Purse with Armadillo Appliques. It's a really pretty, rich shade of green and the perfect size to use as a daily tote. Of course, Fall just wouldn't be right without a pair of simple, tall leather boots. I chose these matte black Frye Leather Boots for the stonewashed finish and classic silhouette.

  • LPDstudios Blog: Style - All About the LPD Accessories

I was so inspired by the super casual and relaxed look of today's inspiration outfit I found on Jess Ann Kirby Lifestyle blog. Her taste is impeccable, and she knows style! I love the way the velvet slip on mules, skinny leather belt and chunky knit sweater all come together for a simple yet classic fall outfit.

But I do think this inspiration outfit needs a dose of LPDstudios accessories!!! I felt the Copper Heart Earrings, Blackened Copper Bangles and Distressed Black Leather Tote add a nice touch of leather and metal to the look. No need to choose between wearing a watch or a bracelet! I like the way the watch and bangles would create a cool layering look.

  • LPDstudios Blog: Style - Hand Sewn Olive Green Armadillo Envelope Clutch

Even though Summer isn't officially over yet.... I can feel things starting to shift. The nights are getting a little cooler, the kids are getting ready to go back to school, and I'm gravitating toward a more earthy palette in my studio. I'm setting aside the bright leathers I've gathered over the past couple of summer months and starting to look for leather hides in green, gold and orange.

I found this really nice olive green "pull up" leather that I just had to buy. Pull up leather is really unique because the leather is colored with aniline dyes that have been blended with natural based oils and waxes instead of the typical painted pigments. The oils and waxes tend to darken the original aniline dye coloration, while also pulling up the lighter colors when stretched and pulled. So this particular olive green leather has a lot of definition and dimension to the hide.

Once I bought this batch of olive green leather, I decided to make a Hand Sewn Olive Green Armadillo Envelope Clutch. I applied an armadillo cut out to give the clutch a conversational focal point, and added my signature pinked edges and contrast stitching.

For today's style board I paired the whimsical little armadillo clutch with a linen jumpsuit in a beautiful shade of sienna orange, and comfortable chocolate suede slip ons. Even though the palette of this outfit is saying fall, I still want sleeveless tops and sandals for as long as possible.

  • LPDstudios Blog: Style - Persimmon Leather Handbag with Floral Motif

Color me happy! Today's style board features a palette for those who want color from head to toe.

Starting with the shoes, these funky, yet really comfortable looking, wedges are from Anthropologie. They are a beautiful shade of sunshine yellow that looks so nice with the natural raffia wrapped sole.

The Persimmon Leather Handbag with Floral Motif is an LPDstudios original made of 100% Italian leather. The handbag has a modern square shape with pinked edges and a stag horn closure. The vibrant orange color of the leather gives this classic handbag a spunky twist.

"Tying" everything together is this beautiful brushstroke print, tie-waist dress. I love the modern, geometric print and the colorful palette it's in. It brings the persimmon orange of the handbag and sunshine yellow of the suede shoes to life!
