My client was looking for a very special gift for her niece. After our initial meeting, I knew what I wanted to design. Her niece has a unique elephant tattoo that would translate perfectly into a charm. And, I knew the perfect medium for this. I decided I wanted to do the charm in bronze metal clay because I knew that this medium would allow me to "draw" the elephant onto the metal. Sometimes just plain metal has its limitations, but metal clay is limitless. The tattoo was very fluid and I wanted the charm to reflect this. Finally, I added a set of initials, truly making the charm "one of a kind". The bronze metal clay was kiln fired to solid metal and polished to a high shine.
