Hand Forged Copper Bracelet Inspired by Alexander Calder
By Lisa Parmer Ditty
I have finished my "Alexander Calder" shapes for my bracelet and have linked them together with jumprings. The next step will be to solder the jumprings closed to prevent the bracelet from falling apart.
Soldering the jumprings requires a jewelers torch, fueled by oxygen and propane.
The heat from the torch causes the bracelet to oxidize with a black "soot". To clean it,
the bracelet is placed in a "pickle bath".
