Hand Forged Copper Address Plaque with Copper Metal Numbers

I absolutely loved with custom project.  I was approached by a loyal client whose wife loves my jewelry.  He promised his wife an address plaque for their new house and the usual stores where just not what he was looking for.  He approached me with this project, neither of us not knowing the outcome.  I had never worked this large before and have never designed anything like this.  But I was up for the challenge and he had faith in me. I worked very closely with my client to determine what font to use and how large.  Once the paper design was approved, I ordered the copper,  which it custom rolled to the right metal gauge or thickness. Next, I are cut the numbers by using a jewelers saw, giving a smoother edge that requires less sanding.  The numbers are cleaned and polished.   Then they are distressed by pounding the metal with various antique hammers.   I work on the backplate with same technique.  The numbers are designed to appear "floating" off the backplate and are attached with a technique called cold joining.  Please you have addition questions about ordering this custom piece, please contact us at: CustomerCare
