This week in the studio I decided to work on some metal clay jewelry.  The heart bracelet across the bottom of the photo shows you what the finished piece will look like.  The hearts are now in their green stage, next they will be sanded. Once the heart pieces are fired in the kiln they will become pure copper.  I will then connect them to form a bracelet.

Working on a new style, just purchased this beautiful blue leather, great for Spring 2016!

I just finished sewing a clients custom square tote.  The bag is in a distressed black leather with a "sassy girl" heart, it looks great with the contrast stitching.

I just pickled and oxidized my pieces with some liver of sulfur. This finishing technique, reacts with the copper, adding color and even blackening some of the areas on the shapes. I added some silver findings and decided to make these into earrings.  They remind me of sweet tiny bird feathers.
